At the Nelsons' Neighbourhood Centre we are providing a Men for Men counselling and advisory service, this is run by two qualified counsellors. We also run after school social skills courses for kids between 7 and 12 years old. We will be running holiday programmes and programmes for youth at risk. The Nelson Mens Trust is also housed here.
Objectives
- Providing groups for men to discuss the benefits and difficulties of fathering.
- Improving the access of fathers to existing child and family services.
- Investigating the possible need for the provision of father specific services.
